Hey there, I'm Emilie!
I'm a professional, non-binary, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent voice actor from southern Ontario, Canada
My main gig is voice acting, but I'm also studying to get my bachelor's degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with a minor in Archaeology and a certificate in GIS. I also do a lot of coding and even coded this entire website myself!
For most of my life I always wanted to be a singer and a dancer, I even wanted to become a K-pop choreographer at one point! I "settled" on acting after watching an anime called JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It was the first anime I'd ever watched in English and something about the amazing performances in the show really spoke to me. Once I watched the sixth part, Stone Ocean, I found out the main character's voice actor wanted to voice that specific character for over 8 years. It made me wonder if I, too, could one day do something like that. The next day, I sent off my first ever audition with a $5 microphone I found at a thrift store. I haven't ever looked back. I started auditioning daily, watching videos, reading books and articles on acting, learning accents, taking classes, getting coaching. Voice acting has been the single best thing I've ever done in my life and I am so grateful that I ever started. I've been afforded so many wonderful opportunities, I've made friendships that will be life long, and I've grown tremendously as a person, all in the short time I've been acting.
My next big step in my voice over career is to get into more mobile games, gacha games and eventually anime. My biggest goal is to one day voice in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I do have some characters in mind (Hot Pants, or Kei Nijimura/Kira specifically) but voicing anyone, even additional voices, would be a dream come true.
When not in the booth, I spend my time playing video games - my current favourites are Fallout 4 and New Vegas, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring, Stardew Valley, Genshin Impact and my all time favourite, Dishonored - drawing, oil painting, learning new programming languages, reading tarot, hiking, collecting pretty rocks, identifying said rocks, and playing niche discord games with my friends.
